MEET CRAYON
Your partner in financial wellbeing during your people’s biggest life transitions
About us
Crayon helps employers support their people through moments that matter—starting with parental leave.
We partner with leading organisations across New Zealand to reduce financial stress through independent, personalised coaching. Our flagship program, Financial Baby Prep, improves employee wellbeing, confidence, and return-to-work outcomes while reducing admin for HR teams.
Because when employees feel financially secure, everyone benefits.
Our mission
We’re here to reduce financial stress in life’s defining moments.
We started with parental leave because it’s consistently ranked as one of the most challenging transitions in the employee lifecycle. But we won’t stop there. Our long-term vision is to support employees across all of life’s big shifts—becoming a parent, redundancy, starting a new job and more.
We believe financial wellbeing isn’t about spreadsheets (although we have plenty of good ones) —it’s about confidence, control, and support at the right time.
Our Values
Everyone can make good financial decisions—with the right information and the right questions.
Coaching isn’t just about education— it empowers people to take action and build long-term wellbeing.
Life transitions are powerful windows for change—we meet people where they are, when they’re ready to make meaningful moves.
Meet our founder: Stephanie Pow
Stephanie Pow created Crayon after discovering firsthand how overwhelming the financial side of parental leave can be—even with a background in finance and business.
She’s the founder of Capital W (Australia’s first women in business club), a University Medal recipient, and a General Sir John Monash Scholar. After earning degrees from Wharton and Harvard, Stephanie held roles in tech and banking—but nothing prepared her for the financial reality of becoming a parent.
Crayon is the system she wished existed: smart, practical, and built to support people in real life.
